MPBN Broadcasting documentary “Preserving Paradise” featuring SBE Faculty & Graduate Students
MPBN television will be broadcasting a documentary entitled “Preserving Paradise” featuring SSI researchers focussing on the alternative futures of modelling research, as well as new mapping tools in order to allow for “smarter” development across the state. The Alternative Futures Team, based at the University of Maine and University of Maine School of Law, uses focus groups and workshops to help planners and decision-makers figure out what effect the choices they make today may have on the economic, social and environmental future of their communities. SBE faculty member Christopher Cronan is part of the research project, as well as graduate students Thomas Parr and Spencer Meyer.
